Sean began framing houses during his summer breaks when he was just 14, and continued gaining hands-on experience by working for a custom home builder in Perrysburg until leaving the area for college. After graduating from Ohio University in 2006, he took a corporate role for a year, but knew his business skills and passion were better utilized in the construction industry.“ I was 24 years old when I left my desk job and decided to launch my own company. I think my first project was a deck, and that led to an addition, and the business grew from there,” he recalls.
Sean credits strong relationships with local builders, developers, architects, designers, suppliers and subcontractors with helping to streamline his building process and make it easier for customers to realize their vision. “We have the ability to work with our customers throughout the entire building process, starting with the selection of the lot,” Sean said. “Working as a team, we design and create a completely custom built home according to the homeowner’s wants and needs.”
Sean Patrick Builders’ portfolio of commercial construction and remodeling projects includes hotels, retail spaces, restaurants, and medical and dental spaces.
In addition to new construction, Sean Patrick Builders also offers room additions, bathroom and kitchen remodeling, basement conversions, custom cabinetry, flooring, decks, roofs and more.
As a project leader, Sean ensures that the contribution from each member of his team exceeds the client’s expectations. He also takes pride in personally overseeing every project from start to finish. “I try my best to be on every job site at least once a day,” Sean added. “Even though I have guys I can depend on to manage the projects, I want clients to know that I’m personally checking on the jobs myself. Also, I just like to be there–seeing design plans become reality and a client’s reactions to the end results sure beats sitting behind a desk.”
Since 2007, Owner and Founder Sean Nester has built the company’s portfolio and reputation by prioritizing on-time and on-budget completion of projects using quality materials and expert craftsmanship. For residential clients, Sean emphasizes the individual homeowner’s vision and attention to detail. “There aren’t two houses I do that are alike,” Sean said. “Everything down to the trim is one hundred percent custom. There’s nothing in my homes that is considered standard.”

With a signed contract, we'll establish a start date and begin working on the necessary permits for your build along with a project schedule. We'll meet regularly to review your home's progress and you will get to know each of our team members as they work on your home.
